Elena has over 20 years experience as a Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist, specialising in management of chronic pain, brain injury rehabilitation and management of other chronic health conditions.
Elena is also highly experienced in treatment of depression and anxiety issues using mindfulness-based therapies.
Elena achieved a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Science (Honours) in 2003, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Psychology) from the University of Canterbury in 2010.
Elena is highly regarded and well recognised within the Psychological practice in New Zealand. She spent 15 years in volunteer roles for the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists and held several positions there, heading up education programs, running the national conference in Nelson in 2018 and was the treasurer for the last 2 years of her tenure. During her service, she was made a Fellow of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists.
She is also a committee member of the New Zealand Special Interest Group for Neuropsychology (NZSIGN) where she regularly hosts educational webinars on the NZSIGN calendar.
